Short version

Level Labs is an indie studio from Leipzig, Germany, that develops its own games such as DrillScape and produces graphics, video and games for others, along with workshops and consulting.

Long version

Level Labs is an indie studio from Leipzig, Germany, founded in April 2024 by Philipp Illmer, Jenny Funke and Daniel Zuther. The studio works radically iteratively and tests early and often with real players: at its booth, on stream, in playtests and on its own Discord.

Its current game is DrillScape, arcade mining under pressure: pilot a rover, mine resources, upgrade and rescue planets. In June 2026 DrillScape was part of the Deutsche Indie Showcase, Summer Game Fest Edition; the demo comes out in the first quarter of 2027, funded by Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung. Alongside its own games, Level Labs makes graphics and video, games on commission or as co-productions, workshops and consulting.
